About Me, Vas Georgiou

My journey in HR started when I was just 18. That's when I started studying my CIPD Level 3, which then led me to gaining my CIPD Level 5 qualification. By 21, I had worked my way up to Assistant Manager, sitting in board meetings and acting as HR Manager, presenting HR reports, discussing HR related matters, etc. Later, I worked as a Recruitment Advisor for a charity with over 1,000 employees, before starting my own recruitment consultancy - my responsibilities included filling over 100 roles in 12 months (which we successfully did), increase staff retention and employee engagement.

During COVID-19, in April 2020, I decided to start Heilsa Recruitment Ltd, a HR centric recruitment consultancy. Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to support businesses of all sizes and across many sectors, finding practical, honest solutions to complex people challenges.

Few facts about me! 

• I opened my first business at the age of 12 (had 4 businesses since then!)
• I started my HR centred recruitment consultancy at 22 years old.
• I am now 27 years old, I have two dogs now, I am married and excited for my next chapter in my life!
• I was born and raised in Cyprus, relocated to London when I was 15 years old.
